Volume 5, Issue 4:We're on PBS - Save the date!

Hello Joy of Sox Fans,
Well it's been a long hot summer and we've been busy getting things finalized for the film!
- PBS - The biggest news in these parts is the announcement by Boston's
PBS affiliate WGBH that it will be broadcasting "The Joy of Sox" on Thursday September 6
at 8pm. So tune in to Channel-2 Boston and enjoy the show. We'll send a reminder out as
September 6 approaches.
- Cinema - We're arranging for a public screening of the movie at a local cinema
or other venue as a way to thank everyone who's helped this project (that means you!),
but the details haven't been finalized yet. It'll be sometime in mid-September,
in the greater Boston area. Details at 11 (in other words, in the next Newsletter).
- Johnny Pesky - Our thoughts are with Johnny Pesky and his family as we mourn the
passing of a true Red Sox legend. You can read all about Johnny Pesky and his
legendary life with the Boston Red Sox on
his Wikipedia page.
Hopefully the collective mojo generated by our two film events will help the Sox make
the playoffs. In the meanwhile, enjoy your summer!
